The Cisco Forth-generation Analog voice network interface card NIM-2FXS integrates 2 ports of FXS (Foreign Exchange Subscriber) to connect analog phones to it and re-use your analog phones with a VoIP phone system. The new generation analog voice network module has build-in DSP (Digital signal processor) and does not require the router to have the dedicated PVDM on the motherboard, and it also provides for echo cancellation of up to 128-ms echo-tail for demanding network conditions.
